AM I the only person who has noticed that the road at the bottom of Marlow Hill, High Wycombe, is in a more-than-urgent state of repair?
How can the council just let this road get into such a state? Coming down Marlow Hill towards the roundabout and turning right towards London Road, the road surface has massive potholes.
This has got so bad that one day last week I scraped the underside of my car, clearly showing the depth of the hole I had driven over.
The same issue applies to Marlow Hill going towards Handy Cross roundabout. After several holes appearing and then being filled in, then re-appearing again, the road is a complete disgrace.
I live in Hazlemere and I have the same issue in Rose Avenue. We now have several large holes in the road surface and you find yourself physically driving on the wrong side of the road to try to avoid this dangerous road surface.
Why are the roads not being resurfaced anymore? Does the council assume that the claims they surely must receive from motorists are less than the overall cost of taking the time to resurface these roads?
Maybe the council can reply as to what it is doing about the situation. It cannot use the same old excuses that the bad weather has made the roads suddenly pot hole. This has been going on since last summer at least!
