Why can't my TV weather the storm?

I AM writing to see whether or not you can highlight a recent problem I have had with satellite television and to see whether this has also become a problem with many of your readers.

As a sports follower I have had a satellite package for nine or ten years.

In the past in extreme weather conditions, the picture often breaks up, the sound is intermittent and crackling noises emanate from the TV set.

In the past such interruptions were rare, but over the last month or two they have become a daily occurrence.

I have rung the helpline and, at their behest, withdrew the viewing card, turned things off at the plug and recited all sorts of numbers that came on the screen.

I have confirmed that there are trees nearby, but they have been there all the time I have had the package. I am currently paying handsomely for a pretty useless service.

I have a friend nearby who is suffering similarly and I wonder whether any BFP readers have noticed such a deterioration in the last couple of months?
