RE: Anthony Weeden’s letter of January 22 – “Met’s forecasting was just a bad joke”.
I’D just like to thank Mr Weeden for his very informed and frank comments re the failures of the Met Office and pointing out that there are indeed viable independent alternatives out there, such as my own firm – which is local to High Wycombe. In any form of predictive service, it is paramount that there is more than one option to turn to and that could not be truer following the Met Office’s woeful bbq summer/mild winter forecasts. Long live competition!
