How did they forget?

8:57am Friday 12th March 2010

I AM astonished that the Post Office can apparently overlook the importance of providing access for all to its new Marlow premises.

It is now a decade since we planned the redevelopment of Christ Church URC in Oxford Road, Marlow, and accessibility was very high on our list of priorities. Even if that had not been the case, we were told firmly by our architects and the planners that we needed to comply with the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act. How can the Post Office have forgotten about this?

We will be flinging the doors of our building wide from March 13th to 21st when Christ Church is mounting one of the biggest art exhibitions ever seen in Marlow. ‘Spirit of Zimbabwe’ is a display and sale of over 250 fabulous sculptures and other works in support of a group of artists living in desperate conditions in Harare.

Admission is free and we hope the whole town will come and see the show, and maybe buy a sculpture for the mantelpiece or the garden! For more details and opening times see our posters or call 01628 486227.
