Run to fight cancer

I AM writing to urge people in the local area to take part in the Great South Run this year to raise money for World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF).

The 10-mile run in Portsmouth is a fantastic event and this year it will be held on October 24. If people take part in support of WCRF, all the money they raise will help us continue with our vital cancer prevention work in funding scientific research and raising awareness that about a third of the most common cancers could be prevented through diet, physical activity and weight.

Readers wanting to take part for WCRF can call 020 7343 4205 or email running@wcrf.org by September 10.

Sian Fraser, Fundraising events coordinator, World Cancer Research Fund

I live in the States and heard on CNN news that the schools in England can not searve Hot cross buns as it is too Christian, I am English and can not beleive what is happening over there, it has always been a Christian country
what has changed that!don't let this happen keep England the way it used to be, keep the treditions, and those who do not like them too bad don't eat the hot cross buns but don't try to change this great country and its treditions
