RE: Community Stadium – The Mud Clearing Solution.
I READ with interest the BFP paper and website. I listen with interest to presentations, open meetings, rumour, conjecture and half truths, regarding an open and transparent route to determining public opinion as to the need/requirement for a ‘community’ stadium at Booker (or anywhere else for that matter) and to be fair the waters are muddy to say the least.
There is however, a simple Mud Clearing Solution to this. The infrastructure is already in place. The mechanism proven and without doubt.
One that excludes anyone other than local residents taking part, removes multiple returns from single individuals and once and for all, will give, the crystal clear answer that I think by now we are all looking for, be that yes or no.
The Answer - A Public Referendum to be held in conjunction with District and Parish Elections on 5th May 2011
Can WDC give the public an acceptable reason, as to why this can not happen?
After all ‘Open’ and ‘Transparent’ are the councils favourite watch words....May 5th and a referendum is the time to prove they mean them!
