I may vote for Steve Baker now

WHAT a strange and complicated world we live in, after reading the letter two weeks ago regarding Steve Baker, Tory MP for Wycombe. I find myself writing in his defence, after a life-time supporting Labour.

I find Mr Baker to be the first Wycombe MP who puts the views and interests of his constituents over the party line. It has long been said a monkey could be elected in Wycombe if it wore a blue rosette. But at last we have a thinking man to represent the area. Long may he serve and who knows I may well vote Tory.

By the way your reader felt his vote was wasted on Mr Baker. Well, I feel it was my Liberal vote (I could not bring myself to vote for Gordon Brown) that was wasted when they climbed into the political bed with the Tories.
