Wycombe Rye Lido success
You are most probably already aware of the fantastic newly updated Wycombe Rye Lido. I have many childhood memories of wandering down to the Rye with my family and having extreme enjoyment from the open air swimming pool. In the summer, it was the absolute perfect place to go where the parents could happily sunbathe whilst the children had overwhelming fun splashing each other in the pool.
Unfortunately, much to everyone’s dismay the pool closed a few years ago.

However, last year after a stunning redevelopment Wycombe Rye Lido has been transformed. The Lido now consists of multiple brand new facilities such as a Gym, an indoor cycling studio, outdoor tennis courts, a group exercise studio and 5-a-side AstroTurf pitches. Thankfully, the outdoor pool still remains and is one of the few remaining outdoor swimming pools in the country! It is also accompanied by a heated learning pool which is a great place for children to first experience swimming and learn vital swimming skills.

Wycombe Rye Lido now appeals to the younger generation from the variety of classes such as indoor spin classes which me and my friend attend regularly, general gym and Zumba fitness classes. Not only does this encourage healthy eating within children but also prevents the worrying subject of child obesity in Britain. The fast and upbeat music in the spin cycling classes is also motivating and helps create a highly energised atmosphere.

Overall, I think the Wycombe Rye Lido is a great accomplishment and I hope it carries on being successful in the future.
