People from Bucks have been fined thousands of pounds after they failed to quarantine themselves after returning from foreign countries.

Those coming back from Pakistan, Spain and the USA have been asked to pay eye-watering sums after they were caught broke the rules.

Some were brazen enough to even attempt to go shopping while they were meant to be quarantining, while others have been fined for simply daring to go outside.

See below for the full list of offenders, who have been put through the courts over the past few weeks.

Aisha Akhtar, 27, of Northern Road, Aylesbury, broke the rules after she returned from Pakistan.

On March 8, Akhtar failed to follow the guidance by leaving her house when she was supposed to be quarantining.

At Oxford Magistrates’ Court on August 20, Akhtar was fined £691 and ordered to pay a further £154 in costs.

William Hollingsworth, 69, of Anson Road, Milton Keynes, failed to adhere to the quarantine requirement when he returned from Spain.

On March 25, Hollingsworth “failed to self-isolate” when he returned from abroad.

At Oxford Magistrates’ Court on August 27, Hollingsworth was fined £1,760 and ordered to pay £266 costs.

Rhianna Gibson, 42, of Sutter Creek Drive, Leighton Buzzard, did not follow the self-isolation rules when she arrived in the UK from America.

On April 19, instead of staying at home, Gibson went out for a drive and went shopping.

At Oxford Magistrates’ Court on August 27, Gibson was fined £1,760 and ordered to pay £266 costs.
