Halloween is right around the corner and there are plenty of spooky activities for all budgets to choose from across Buckinghamshire.

Fun day out doesn’t need to cost a fortune, while some like to splurge out on the day on costumes and treats.  

Here are Halloween events to fit all budgets, and one seasonal autumn event for those not celebrating Halloween.

Pumpkin farm

Why not put on a pair of wellies and head out to the Pop Up Pumpkin Farm in Stoke Mandeville what a real ‘ghost pumpkin’ looks like!

Where: Stoke Mandeville, The Bucks Goat Centre, back of the car park in the far paddock

When: open every day until October 31 between 10am to 5pm

Price: £1 per ticket, while pumpkin carving costs £1 for the carving kit. Children under three go for free.

Luxury Halloween afternoon tea

Enjoy a Halloween themed afternoon tea at the 17th century country manor Stoke Place hotel while taking in its stunning 26-acres of surrounding parkland.

Where: Stoke Place, Stoke Poges, Slough

When: daily until October 31 between 2.30pm and 5pm.

Price: adults £22.50, children £11.25. Places must be pre-booked through website.

Free family fun day at Wycombe Swan

Take a spooky backstage tour of the theatre, which is said to have its own ghost, face painting, drama games, biscuit decorating, arts and crafts, pumpkin hunt, carriage bouncy castle and competitions.

Trick and treat light display for good cause

A Micklefield family has put on a spooky display for trick and treaters.

This Halloween local resident Debra Gomme and her husband Andrew are raising to support the National Autistic Society with a fun, free display.

The cause is close to Mrs Gomme’s heart as four of her own grandchildren have autism, she said.  

She said: “We love seeing the children and adults stopping to look, the children's faces are lovely to see. The comments are amazing.

“We would love to see as many children as we can on 31st October to come and get a sweet and if anyone would like to donate it would be very appreciated.

When: until October 31. Ideal after dark as the figures light up.

Party of light

As an alternative to Halloween, St Mary’s Church in Chesham is offering a celebration of light.

Partygoers of all ages are encouraged to dress in their best non-Halloween bright and sparkly outfits.

The fun evening also includes a bouncy castle, churchyard trail, crafts, hot dogs and sparkles.
