THE NEW timetable for Christmas bin collections was announced today.
Residents’ bins across Buckinghamshire are set to be emptied on a revised holiday schedule over the Christmas holiday period.
Buckinghamshire Council urged everyone to remember to recycle while celebrating the season, which is expected to produce around 30 percent more waste than usual, Bucks Council said.
While Buckinghamshire’s Household Recycling Centre remain shut on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, residents can recycle cards and crackers (without the snap), paper hats, non-glittery wrapping paper and chocolate boxes at home.

Household Recycling Centres will remain open on all other days.
After the festive period, Christmas trees, wreaths, holly and mistletoe should be disposed of using the Council’s garden waste collection service.
Existing garden waste customers cut their tree into smaller pieces without decorations and put the pieces in their garden waste bin.
Residents, who are not subscribed to the garden waste collection service, have the option to take their tree to a household recycling centre or to a local charity collection.
The garden waste collection will be suspended for six weeks from Monday December 12 until Monday January 23, when it resumes.
