THE POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a crash on A41 after a woman and a young boy were seriously injured on Tuesday.

The smash happened on Tuesday December 27 at around 2.10pm on the A41 between Westcott Venture Park and Waddesdon.

Officers were called to the scene after a red Porsche Boxster and a white Suzuki S-Cross crashed.

A woman in her 40s and a young boy were seriously injured, while a woman and a man in their 30s and a young girl suffered minor injuries.

They were all taken to hospital. The woman in her 40s remains in hospital and the others were discharged.

A man and woman from London were later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Yu Yang, 24, of Marsh Wall, Tower Hamlets in London, was charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

She was released on conditional bail pending next court hearing after appearing at Oxford Magistrates Court on December 29.

The arrested man was released without a charge.

Serious Collision Investigation Unit’s Investigating officer Detective Constable Ian Sevens said: “We are carrying out an investigation into the circumstances of this collision that has injured five people.

“We would ask anyone with a dash camera to please check their footage if they were driving in the vicinity at the time of the incident to call 101 or give us the details via our website, quoting investigation reference 43220578512.”
