Baking queen Mary Berry will open a new food technology room at a south Bucks school this week for its 70th anniversary celebrations.
The former Bake Off star is set to visit Chesham Grammar School (CGS), in White Hill, tomorrow (Wednesday) to open the new facility, which staff say will offer students a “bright, contemporary, and fully accessible” space for baking and preparing healthy meals.
In preparation of Mary’s arrival, pupils have been baking for a ‘CGS Everyone Get Baking Competition’, with the finalists from more than 100 entries to be judged by Mary on her visit.
Creations will include cakes with the school logo and tie, a cake designed to look like the new kitchen, and cakes with the theme of the school’s 70th anniversary.
