THE CHELSEA flower show might be over for another year, but a blooming summer of garden gawping is only just beginning.
Saturday sees three inspiring gardens in Cookham throw open their gates to the public as part of the charity fundraising National Garden Scheme (NGS).
Hunters Lodge, 2 Bellevue Cottages and 2 Vicarage Close will display their horticultural splendour from 2pm until 5pm on Saturday only.
Of the three contrasting gardens showcase clever use of limited spaces, with innovative water features also a highlight of these beautifully kept examples.
Entry is £5, with tickets available from all gardens.
To find a garden to visit this summer see the NGS website: www.ngs.org.uk or follow yellow NGS signs in the village.
NGS has raised over £42.5million for good causes by opening private gardens to the public.
Charities benefitting include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Parkinsons UK.
