Reports of explosions in Cookham have led to police cordoning off a road in the village.
Police and firefighters were called to Strande Lane, with a cordon at the top of the road.
Officers were called to the scene at 4.40pm after reports of “loud bangs” in the area.
A police spokesman said the incident is being led by firefighters, with explosions thought to have been caused by gas canisters, but the fire service has not confirmed this.
A number of houses in the area have been evacuated in the area, but police say they do not believe there are any injuries.
