Dozens of children and parents got into the Halloween spirit at a fancy dress party in Marlow.

Almost 90 children enjoyed a disco, face painting and plenty of food and drink at Stepping Stones Pres-School’s Halloween party in Liston Hall this week.

Manager Lisa Carlton told the Marlow Free Press the day went “really well”.

She said: “It was a lot busier than I was expecting. I sold 64 tickets for the day, but with parents as well it was heaving.”

The pre-school held two parties – one for tots aged between two and six, and one for older children aged between six and 10.

More than 60 children came to the first party and 25 came to the second one.

She said: “The kids’ costumes were great. They all dressed up which was lovely.

“The parents that I spoke to were really pleased with it and a few of them asked if I was doing a Christmas party – so now I’m looking into that.”

She said proceeds from the party would go towards improving the newly built playground at the pre-school.

She added: “We have just had a playground built and it is a bit boring at the moment so I am looking to making it more interesting for the children.”
