Two thieving Currys PC World shop workers have been caught red-handed stealing almost £4,000 in gift cards from their employers.
The pair, both aged 22, have been forced to pay back thousands after they were hauled in front of magistrates when their six-month crime spree was uncovered.
Between May and November 2016, Junaid Raja, of Rowan Avenue, High Wycombe, and Kenneth Schembri, of Beechlands, Hazlemere, stole £3,850 worth of gift cards from their workplace in Wycombe Retail Park.
The men were later caught and both convicted at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court last month after pleading guilty.
Raja was ordered to pay back £2,550 in compensation, £170 in court costs and told to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community service.
His accomplice, Schembri, was slapped with the same court costs and community order and was told to pay compensation of £650.
