A man was left with head injuries after allegedly being punched and robbed in High Wycombe this week.

The victim, a 35-year-old man, was sitting in the passenger seat of a taxi, a silver Toyota Prius, parked outside the Tigers taxi office, in Castle Street, at 9pm on Monday when two men approached the vehicle and allegedly punched him.

Police said they then stole his money, keys and a black woollen Nike hat with a black bobble.

The first man has been described as black, in his early to mid-30s, muscular, clean shaven and about 6ft with dark hair. He was said to be wearing a dark tracksuit and grey woollen hat.

The second man has been described as mixed-race, in his 20s, around 5ft 6ins and of medium build. He was reported to be wearing a light coloured tracksuit.

Police said the victim suffered a head injury but did not require hospital treatment.

A 38-year-old man from High Wycombe was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) on suspicion of robbery. He has been released under investigation.
