Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth has revealed he hopes the club ‘can announce pretty soon’ the unveiling of a new goalkeeper.
The Chairboys only have one regular shot-stopper on their books in Tyla Dickinson following the departures of last season’s one number David Stockdale to Sheffield Wednesday, and back up Adam Przybek to Walsall respectively.

But, Wanderers have been heavily linked with Nathan Bishop from Manchester United.
Speaking to Sky Sports News on June 30 regarding Stockdale’s replacement, he said: “We have got something in the pipeline for that.
“Hopefully some nice big news that Wycombe Wanderers can announce pretty soon but we’re keeping everything under wraps for now.
“It’s early days in the transfer window at the moment and it’s all about playing your cards at the right time.”
The club will start the new season a centre back lighter following Anthony Stewart’s decision to leave Wycombe for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

The 29-year-old played 292 games for the Chairboys but opted to turn down a new deal to stay in Buckinghamshire.
And even though his presence will be missed, Ainsworth insisted that ‘there is no panic yet’ on finding his replacement.
He continued: “We’ve got a good group of players here and they will not be wholesale changes.
"We did incredibly well last year and what league this season will be too.
"I’ve got some good defenders in the likes of Jack Grimmer and young Chris Forino who I think will be a fantastic proposition coming through.
“We are covered so there is no panic yet.
Gareth Ainsworth will lead the #Chairboys into his 10th full season as manager.

“Ten years into the job, I’m experienced with these windows now and I know when is good and when its not good to get the right players in.”
Going into the new season, Sam Vokes, Lewis Wing, Joe Jacobson, Daryl Horgan and Dom Gape have all penned new deals, whilst Nick Freeman signed a contract extension at the start of the year.
The manager himself has also committed his future to Wycombe Wanderers, by penning a new contract until 2025.
