Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth hopes to add ‘one or two’ more players to his squad before the transfer window closes.

The club has so far added six names to their team which includes new signing Alfie Mawson, who has joined on a free transfer from Fulham.

However, despite looking for new players, Ainsworth is content with his squad.

He said: “The depth of the squad is very strong.

“Last season at one stage, we had Max Ram playing up front and Nick Freeman at left centre half (in the League Cup).

“This season, however, we have got everyone in pretty much their natural position.

“At the moment, it’s all about rotating the squad and keeping it all fresh and fit, because we won’t have the squad depth that some teams will have without a doubt, but we will work steadily with what we’ve got.

“We’re hopeful for one or two more additions near the end of the transfer window but we’re happy with where we are.”
