READ MORE: MATCH REPORT: Wycombe have two goals disallowed as Wanderers are frustrated at home against Morecambe

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth has heavily criticised the officials following Wanderers’ 1-1 home draw against Morecambe.

Chris Forino had given the Chairboys the lead with a brilliant header after 20 minutes, before Sam Vokes scored a second not long after.

However, for the second time in two matches, the Welshman’s strike was ruled out for an alleged foul.

It looked like Wycombe were going to secure their fourth league win in five matches, but with less than 10 minutes remaining, Adam Mayor’s corner found its way over the line and Derek Adams’ team were level.

Drama then ensued in stoppage-time as Brandon Hanlan’s goal with seconds remaining was also disallowed for another alleged foul by Vokes in the build-up.

Loud boos echoed around Adams Park at full-time as Wycombe remain in midtable, though these jeers were aimed at Alan Young, the referee.

A win would have moved the Chairboys into ninth.

Speaking on the officials, Ainsworth said: “It’s super frustrating.

“We’ve dominated possession and dominated chances, we stick three in the goal, and only one counts.

“I’m gutted.

“I’m gutted for the boys as they were superb, but I think there were some really bad decisions today [October 29] again, and I’m really disappointed.

“We’re not getting the rub of the green at the moment as the goal that we have conceded, there is a clear pull on Max’s [Stryjek] arm and the officials missed it.

“Max has been pulled into the goal when the corner has gone in.

“He deserved a clean sheet today.

“How have they not seen that?

On the goals that didn’t stand, Ainsworth said: “They [Wycombe] were very good but for the life of me, I can’t figure out why we are having goals taken away from us.

“Honestly, I can’t.

“On Vokes goal, you can watch it 10 times and you can’t see why he’s disallowed it.

“And with Hanlan’s, it’s been ruled out because of a Vokes foul but I don’t know what that is all about.

“I’m disappointed with the officials but I am pleased with the performance from my players.

“They’re quick to disallow Wycombe goals but that one [Morecambe's] was allowed to stand.”

Up next for Wycombe is Port Vale at home on November 1.

The fixture was due to be played on September 10, but it was postponed following Queen Elizabeth II’s death on September 8.
