Wycombe Wanderers are one of several clubs linked to current Republic of Ireland Under 21 international, Jake O’Brien.

It has been reported by the Irish Examiner that the 21-year-old, who is currently on loan at the Belgium side RWD Molenbeek from Crystal Palace, has caught the attention of Bristol City in the Championship, along with the Chairboys in League One.

Fellow third-tier rivals, Portsmouth, are also allegedly interested in the defender.

If he were to join Gareth Ainsworth’s side, he will provide competition with Ryan Tafazolli, Alfie Mawson, Chris Forino and Jack Wakely as the club’s first-choice centre backs.

Additionally, Jack Grimmer, who is predominantly a right-back, has also enjoyed a spell this season playing in the right-hand side of the defence.
