Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Lewis Wing believes the Chairboys ‘can beat anyone’ following their recent run of form.

The Adams Park club have won their last five league matches whilst picking up 18 points from the last 21 available.

Additionally, Wanderers have been victorious in eight of their last 10 games, losing just twice to sides who are currently in the top two places in the table.

Those defeats were against Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth Argyle by 1-0 scorelines respectively.

Speaking after Wycombe’s 1-0 victory over Bolton on February 18, a fixture in which Wing scored the winning goal, he told the Free Press: “We’re in a good bit of form at the minute and we’re playing well.

“We’re making it difficult for teams to come here and beat us so the win was brilliant.

“I don’t think we fear anyone, especially with the run that we’re on.

"I don’t think they like playing here and I think we can beat anyone.”

The strike was his eighth of the campaign, making it the best goal-scoring season of his professional career.

He has also scored six in his last eight.

He continued: “I’m really enjoying things at the moment, and I do have a target in mind to reach this season.

"I'm well on my way to getting there so fingers crossed I can reach it.

“It’s really good here at the moment, but it’s just disappointing to see that every time we win, we still can’t break into the playoffs.

“Everyone around us is winning, but the most important thing is we’re winning too and that’s all we can do at the moment.

“We of course look at the other results, but we just need to focus on ourselves because that’s all we can do.”
