Wycombe Wanderers boss has revealed that Josh Scowen didn’t start the 2-1 away loss at Burton Albion due to a ‘tight hamstring’.

The 29-year-old played the final 20 minutes in the defeat at the Pirelli Stadium after missing the 2-0 victory over Fleetwood Town four days prior.

His injury occurred in the final few moments of the Chairboys’ 1-1 home draw against Exeter City on March 4.

Bloomfield said: “It’s a busy period so it’s important that we get as bodies as through as we can.

“Josh had a tight hamstring so that’s why we didn’t start him – we didn’t want to risk him, especially on a heavy pitch.

“But we all know how good of a player he is so it’s great to have him back.”

Up next for Wanderers is an away trip to Bristol Rovers on March 14.
