Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield has confirmed that there are no fresh injury updates as the Chairboys prepare for Charlton Athletic this weekend.

The club have been without Dominic Gape, Jordan Obita, and Sam Vokes in recent weeks, but Ryan Tafazolli made his comeback appearance in the 1-0 loss against Barnsley last Saturday.

It was his first outing in six weeks.

Speaking to the press, Bloomfield said: “There are no fresh injury updates I can think of.

“We’ve got the ones which are ongoing and those boys are working their way back to fitness as soon as they can.

“We’ve had a clear week on the training ground which has been great and no-one has picked up anything new.

“We’ve got a tight-knit squad with the injuries that we have had no game in the way, it’s allowed us to have a full week of prep and enable some of the boys to get fit.

“Last week was the first time we were able to use Ryan [Tafazolli] since we’ve been here and that’s a huge boost.

“We’re trying to establish where is in terms of match fitness so we’ll make that call before the weekend, but he has trained really well this week.”

One player that will be part of the squad this weekend is Tjay De Barr.

The 23-year-old has declined the opportunity to represent Gibraltar in their respective Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Greece and the Netherlands respectively to continue his spell in the Wanderers first-team.

Bloomfield said: “Tjay has grabbed the opportunity and he’s got high aims for his club career too.

“He’s a very proud Gibraltarian and he loves playing for his country and this would not have been an easy decision for him to make.

“But we’re happy to have kept him this weekend as he’s been working hard for us.

“His work ethic is there and he rocks up every day ready to work.

“He puts everything in.”

The match at the Valley will start at 3pm.
