Wycombe Wanderers right-back Jack Grimmer has said he is ‘buzzing’ to remain at the club for an extra year.

The former Scottish under-21 international penned a new deal with the Chairboys that will take him into a fifth year at Adams Park.

In the previous three seasons, he has reached two play-off finals, and he hopes that his fourth campaign will also finish with the club securing a top-six spot in League One.

The 29-year-old has also suffered relegation from the Championship in that time.

He told the Free Press: “I’m buzzing [to be staying].

“It’s nice to have your future secured and with the new gaffer in place, these are exciting times for the club, and we can still have an exciting end to this season too.

“To be here for the future is something I’m buzzing about it.

"It's also nice to just focus on the football.

“When players stay, you have a nucleus for a strong squad for next season and even now, League One is a mini-Championship because of the clubs in there, and Wycombe are always pulling their weight.

“We can still have an exciting end to the season as this is something we as players and the fans want, and committing ourselves to this club is great.

“As players, we love playing games in front of fans doing our stuff.”
