Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield has provided an injury update ahead of his side’s home match against Lincoln City this weekend.

The Chairboys go into their penultimate league fixture at Adams Park versus the Imps following a hard-fought 2-1 victory away at Cambridge United on April 18, which has kept their play-off dreams alive with three games left to play.

Speaking on his squad selection, which saw him make four changes to the team that lost against Morecambe on April 15, Bloomfield said “There are a couple of fresh knocks from the win at Cambridge on Tuesday night.

“We have a couple of doubts, but at the time of speaking, it’s not even 48 hours since the game ended.

“We’re hoping by Friday the players who have knocks should be OK but we will see after training on Friday.”

The victory over Cambridge saw Jason McCarthy, Brandon Hanlan, Tjay De Barr, and Chem Campbell all drop to the bench, whilst Ryan Tafazolli, Sam Vokes, Nick Freeman, and Garath McCleary returned to the starting line-up.

And depending on the player’s match fitness, Bloomfield could go with the same 11 that were victorious on in midweek.

The main doubt is Chris Forino who was replaced by Jordan Willis around the hour mark with a suspected hamstring injury.

Bloomfield continued: “After the long trip back from Morecambe on Saturday, I thought some fresh legs would help us in midweek and give us a bit more energy.

“This is why I made the four changes.

“They were some tough decisions to make along with having some awkward conversations with the lads, but, I was pleased with how things played out.

“We’re getting selection headaches now which is what you want, especially at this stage of the season, and as a manager, you want that competition for places.

“You don’t want easy decisions -  you want players to fight and get the opportunity to take their chance.”
