Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed the signing of left-back Harry Boyes from Sheffield United.

The 21-year-old has joined the Chairboys on the season-long loan, and has been drafted in to replace the outgoing Jordan Obita who has moved to Hibernian.

He becomes the fourth new face at Adams Park this summer following the acquisitions of Richard Keogh, Kian Breckin and Luke Leahy.

Upon joining, manager Matt Bloomfield told the club’s website: “Harry’s an excellent addition to our squad and I’m thrilled to bring him here on a season-long loan deal.

“He had a brilliant year in League 1 last season and gives us another option down the left, both defensively and going forward.

“He’s got a real energy and determination about him which I love and he’s going to fit right in here as part of a squad which is taking shape more and more each day.

“I’m really impressed by how hard everyone is working and these four new signings have added strength to what is already a fantastic squad of players.

“I’d like to thank Paul Heckingbottom and his staff at Sheffield United for enabling this move to happen and we’re looking forward to having Harry with us for the months ahead.”

He will wear the number 11 shirt which was last worn by Anis Mehmeti.
