Wycombe Wanderers are one of several clubs interested in signing striker Uche Ikpeazu.

The 28-year-old Harrow-born Ugandan forward is available on a free transfer following the termination of his contract at the Turkish outfit, Konyaspor, following several months of unpaid wages.

His time in Turkey lasted the 2022/23 season where he failed to score in any of his 14 appearances, where he even received one red card.

Since his exit, he has been heavily linked with a move back to Adams Park, but according to the Sheffield Star, the Chairboys are not the only club keen on securing his services.

Queens Park Rangers, who are managed by ex-Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth, and Sheffield Wednesday, also keeping a close eye on the former Middlesbrough forward.

This is the third transfer window in a row that Ikpeazu has been linked to an Adams Park return.

The rumours come just days after League Wrexham have expressed an interest in signing Wanderers forward Brandon Hanlan.

The Hollywood-owned Welsh outfit are reportedly ‘eyeing a move but haven’t yet made one’.
