Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Dominic Gape has found himself a new club following his release from the Chairboys.

The 29-year-old, who spent seven years at Adams Park before departing this summer, has joined League Two Sutton United after impressing on a recent trial.

He joins the South London outfit on an undisclosed contract length and will wear the number 26 shirt.

His move to Sutton comes after Gape spent some time at Queens Park Rangers before the start of the season to maintain his fitness.

He also joined Stockport County on their pre-season tour of Spain but no deal materialised.

His move to the Amber Army comes with the club rotted at the bottom of the League Two table with just seven points from their 13 games this season.

They have recorded just two wins in that time but won those games with an aggregate score of 9-1.

In all, Gape played 206 times for Wycombe and scored four goals.

One of those strikes secured Wanderers' promotion to League One in April 2018, following a 2-1 win at Chesterfield.Β
