Wycombe Wanderers made it 12 league games without a victory as they drew 0-0 away at Leyton Orient for their final match of 2023.

Freddie Potts was the surprise inclusion for the Chairboys, with the West Ham loanee having been missing from action since the start of November.

The O’s started the brighter, but it was the Chairboys who had the first real chance of the game through former Orient man Kieran Sadlier.

After cutting inside from the left, the winger unleashed an ambitious curling effort from the edge of the area which went inches wide of the top right corner.

Joe Low was one of several changes for the Chairboys, and he made an important clearance near the goal line to ensure a cross by Shaq Forde could not find a way into the back of the net.

Wycombe were appealing for a penalty when Dale Taylor was pulled down in the area, but the claims were waved away by referee Jacob Miles.

In a game where the Chairboys failed to register a shot on target, they had goalkeeper Max Stryjek to thank for ensuring they went away with a clean sheet.

The pick of the bunch came when Tom James struck towards the top right corner from a free kick, only to be met by the hands of the Wanderers goalkeeper.

The second half lacked any clear-cut chances, with Leyton Orient looking the more likely to score.

However, neither team could find the back of the net on the night.

Boos could be heard at full time in the away end at the Gaughan Group Stadium, as the pressure continues to mount on Wycombe boss Matt Bloomfield.

Wanderers now drop to 19th in the League One table, and next face Bristol Rovers at home on New Year's Day.
