Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed the departure of striker Tjay De Barr.

The 23-year-old Gibraltarian has re-signed for Lincoln Red Imps, the side that sold him to the Chairboys, subject to the necessary paperwork being finalised.

He joined the Adams Park side in 2021 and scored on his debut in a 2-2 draw away at Stevenage in the second round of the League Cup.

His last-minute equaliser sent the tie to extra time and after scoring the winning goal in the subsequent penalty shootout, his heroics would ultimately lead Wycombe to a third round tie against then-holders of the competition, Manchester City.

A brief loan spell to Non League Eastleigh followed that campaign before more regular appearances during the 2022/23 season followed.

He would go on to feature 22 times for Wycombe that season, in which he scored he scored his first league strike for the club in a 2-1 loss away at Burton Albion.

However, injuries, a loss of form and sporadic appearances have been a common feature for the Gibraltar international, who played 15 times this campaign.

His last appearance in a Wanderers shirt came in the 3-2 home victory against the Fulham U21s in the EFL Trophy on December 5.

A statement on the Lincoln Red Imps website reads: “Tjay came through our youth ranks before leaving in 2019 and would later rejoin a year later.

“His potential continued to shine through which caught the eye of the League One side in 2021.

“An important experience as he continues his footballing journey with his boyhood club and welcome him back with open arms.

“We would like to thank Wycombe for allowing this transfer to go through and wish them the very best this season.”
