Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield has called the club ‘special’ that it has a habit of attracting former players back to Adams Park.
This comes after Fred Onyedinma became the latest Chairboy to re-sign for the side, three years after leaving for a third time.
His arrival, along with West Ham United’s Gideon Kodua on loan, means an ex-player has found their back at Wycombe for a 13th consecutive season.
Speaking on this, Bloomfield said: "I’m fortunate to work for a special football club that gets under people’s skin which affects their lives and their families.
“It’s not a surprise when players come back and Fred is another example of that.
“People have moved to a higher league but have come back as we make them feel comfortable and at home.
“I had always kept in touch with Fred and several other people [ex-teammates] because as we know, life goes on as people go to different clubs but you are in touch with those who you struck up a close relationship with.”
Wycombe's re-signing pattern (we have only gone for one player for each season, but we are aware there have been multiple for certain campaigns):

- 2017/18: Nathan Tyson
- 2018/19: Fred Onyedinma
