Musical acts include The Wonder Stuff, The Farm, Echoes, winner of the emerging talent competition Sarah Lappert and a DJ set by Goldie Lookin Chain. The Comedy Club

Marlow Host Kevin McCarthy has both compered and headlined all the major Comedy Clubs in the UK. Headlining the event is Geoff Norcott who comes from a successful year in which included a nomination for “Best New Show” at Dave’s Leicester Comedy festival, to commissioned writing jobs on the Sarah Millican Television Programme, Stand up for the Week and a starring part in one of the YouTube smashes of the year – Geoff’s career is heating up. He is supported by the internationally acclaimed John Newton.

The Small Fakers

One of the top British bands of the 1960s, The Small Faces, created a soundtrack to the swinging sixties and hugely influenced the likes of Blur, Oasis and The Artic Monkeys. Their only tribute band come to Maidenhead this weekend. They have performed to sell out audiences across the world. The band have played the Isle of Wight festival four times, where they were once joined by Sex Pistols bass player Glen Matlock.

Feast Weekend

A day inspired by the historical ‘Baron’s Treat’ when Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild would invite local people to enjoy a tea party in the gardens of Waddesdon Manor. Enjoy a picnic or sample some of the food on offer from one of the 50 handpicked artisan food and wine stalls. Meanwhile, a range of captivating performances to delight and surprise young and old alike will take place throughout the day.

Downley Day

The Common will come alive with a fantastic variety of activities including Katy Kartwheel who will be teaching circus skills and performing in the main arena. There will be two local choirs, sock-wrestling and a fun dog show whilst local organisations, charities and crafters run their stalls on the Common and in the marquee. All refreshment needs will be taken care of with afternoon teas, homemade cakes, the beer tent and a barbecue. The proceeds from the afternoon will be returned to the local community later in the year.

Christine Bovill’s Piaf

Paying tribute to the music of Edith Piaf, Christine will be exploring the life and music of the iconic singer Edith Piaf. From her humble beginnings as a child of the streets of Paris, to her rise to fame, via a tragic life of drink and drugs, before her untimely death at age 48.

Marlow Jazz 40th Anniversary

Their first ever live gig, in June 1976, took place in the little function room behind the Clayton Arms in Quoiting Square, although the club had been in existence for a few years previous to that with record recitals and jazz film shows. Since those early days, and in eleven different venues in the local area, many of the great names in world jazz have performed. Tuesday will see an intriguing pairing of two top saxophonists, Art Themen and Karen Sharp.

The Glyndebourne Festival Experience

Norden Farm’s Courtyard Theatre is hosting a live screening from world-renowned opera venue Glyndebourne. Rossini’s The Barber of Seville (Il barbiere di Siviglia) tells the story of Figaro, the renowned Barber of Seville, uses every trick in the book to outwit Dr Bartolo and ensure his master wins the chosen bride. But the bride has other ideas, and some schemes of her own, in a whirlwind plot.

Bedroom Farce

Love's young dream Malcolm and Kate are throwing a housewarming party, and are sorely tested by the arrival of love’s living nightmare, Trevor and Susannah. Supper Talk

St Katherine's, a charity founded by Lady Sue Ryder, that might be a little close to home for you if you are married or live in Maidenhead. They are offering a humorous overview of scandals over the past two hundred years that took place in the area, up until the 1960s. Kathron Sturrock and Daniel Pioro

The newly formed duo are both members of The Fioboannic Sequence. It is considered one of the UK’s most distinguished chamber ensembles. They will be performing a programme featuring works by Bach and Brahms including his Violin Sonata in G major, otherwise known as Rain Sonata. The concert will finish with Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No.9, also known as the Kreutzer, which is renowned as a technically demanding piece.
