Name: Tom Tipper

Age: 35

Job: Banker

Lives: Bledlow Ridge

Pub: The Boot in Bledlow Ridge

How often do you come here: Two or three times a month.

What do you usually drink: Rebellion IPA.

Do you have a usual spot? No!

What do you love about it? There is always someone I know there to speak to. The beer is excellent- they have the local Rebellion brewery beers and they always have good stuff on tap, as well as a range of guest beers. The food is excellent. Andy and Emma Goddard have recently completely rejigged it. Since then the atmosphere has been great and it is great to go along and have a chat with people there. Yet you can also go there for a meal with your wife or girlfriend. It is very popular in the village. Before, for whatever reason, it had never quite got it right but now it really is a great asset to the village.

Do you think pubs still have a place in today's society? Of course they do. In this village it is the go-to point. It provides that focal point where villagers can meet and also have somewhere, where you can walk home after a few beers. It is a shame that far too many rural places don't have that. We are very lucky as we have a great pub, a great school and a lovely village shop.
