GIRL'S Night Out is coming to High Wycombe complete with love, laughter, a pop soundtrack to get you dancing in the aisles and of course, men in thongs.

The tour started over a month ago in Newcastle and has been packing out audiences every since with it being compared to the 1990s film The Full Monty But Amanda Bellamy, who plays Sue, said the show is more than just a strip tease.

She said: “From the moment the curtain goes up the audience is laughing. They are in for a very light hearted and humorous and lovely evening but at the same time there are quite real story lines in which make you think about relationships between men and women.

“Women in the audience appreciate the opportunity to a) look at their enjoyment of the opposite sex and b) the opportunity for women to allow to talk freely about sex in this day and age.

“We get a lot of women in but we have also had male friends in the audience who have haven't thought they would enjoy it but have come out laughing.”

She said her friend who is a deacon for a church in Newcastle even enjoyed it. She said: “I was staying with some old friends of mine who are pillars of the church who wanted to come along.

“There are some quite saucy strips in it which I wasn't sure how they would take. I was really in two minds whether to allow them to come. John is in his 60s and a deacon of the church.

“But he laughed all the way through it. He said he had a whale of a time and said to me. “I hope you realise we do have a sense of humour.”

Bellamy plays Sue who is the mother of Tony and Auntie Sue to Jane. The story follows Jane who is preparing for her wedding day which wouldn't be complete without a hen night out.

Tony and the boys, meanwhile, are putting together their make or break 'Ladies Only' show.

Talking about the boys in the show Bellamy said: “The chaps work out every day. They are in rehearsals from ten to six then they go off to the gym afterwards.

“They are obviously very conscious of how they look as the girls are giving them an eyeful. I must say they are looking particularly gorgeous.”

The original Girl's Night Out came out before the Full Monty and Bellamy said, although there are similarities, Girl's Night Out is “more humorous”.

Bellamy said: “I think one of the things we all love is how much the audience love it. It does make it enormously rewarding and fun to do every night. This is the biggest audience reaction I have ever come across and the loveliest audience reaction.”
