THERE are a host of events at the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Great Missenden this summer.

The museum, which is aimed at six to 12-year-olds, has events beginning this Saturday from 1.30pm-2.30pm and 3pm-4pm with the chance for children to paint their own designs on a bowl to take home. Extra £4.95 per participant.

On Sunday there are 30 minute sessions from 2.30pm and 3.30pm of Matilda's biffsquiggling bingo for £1 extra per person.

On Saturday July 10 join Tiffany Crouch, head chef at Café Twit, for an hour session at 2.30pm to make whoppsy-whiffling yummies inspired by Roald Dahl’s Revolting Recipes. £4.95 per child.

Also at 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm for ten-year-olds upwards there is a behind the scenes look at the museum's archive store which is free for museum visitors.

On Sunday July 11 at 1.30pm and 3pm get the chance to make bugs and butterflies which would suit the Chiltern countryside for £2 extra.

WYCOMBE Society for the Performing Arts is looking for more people to take part in their 70th anniversary by becoming chorus members.

It is celebrating by staging Cole Porter's Anything Goes at the Swan Town Hall which opens on October 27.

As well as winning the Southport Writers' International Competition Sara Ridgley also came runners up winning £50 in the Deddington Writers' Competition with her poem Dignity.

She currently run three writing classes a week with adults at the Beaconsfield School and Micklefield Library. She is a motivational tutor on the innovative First Steps scheme set up by Bucks County Council to run courses where student places are free.
