1. THE Mayor and Charter Trustees of High Wycombe invite you to a festival of carols this Sunday at 5pm at All Saints Church in High Wycombe. Proceeds to be shared between All Saints Parish Church and The Mayor’s Appeal. 2. BOURNE End is celebrating Christmas tonight as its new Christmas light is switched on at 5pm. Designer Ruby Paish will switch the light on outside No25 and Pizazz. It will be followed by an evening of activities from funfair rides to facepainting and there will also be lots of refreshments. Along The Parade and Wakeman Road there will be something for everyone to enjoy, including free beer tasting courtesy of Rebellion Brewery. Shops will be open and there will be entertainment from school and church choirs, a saxophone band and a handmade music machine. Father Christmas will also be there so make sure you get down to Bourne End tonight. 

3. ST Andrew's Church in Chinnor Christmas Tree Festival starts tomorrow (Saturday) and runs until the 14th. The church will be telling the story of Christmas via the unlikely medium of trees- there has been an overwhelming response and there will be more than 34 real and artificial trees, all of them decorated with the theme of Christmas Hymns and Songs.  There will also be a programme of entertainment taking place over the two weekends including the grand opening tomorrow at 11am with the Chinnor Silver Training Band and then singing from the local school at 2.30pm. On Sunday there will be the Villages Voices choir singing at 2.30pm. The church will be open on Saturday from 11am to 4.30pm and Sunday from 2 to 4.30pm and during the week at 2 to 4.30pm.

4. TRAVEL back in time at Wycombe Museum this Sunday from 2 to 4.30pm as Castle Hill House prepares for Christmas. Meet costumed interpreters as they go about their festive tasks and dress up for your own Victorian style family portrait. Fun for all. Free drop-in session at the building in Priory Avenue. 5. THE West Wycombe Brass Band is hosting a Christmas Concert this Sunday at 7pm at Piddington Village Hall. Guest musical director will be Ian Graves, ex Band of the Life Guards. Refreshments will be provided. Guests are asked to bring their own drink. A raffle will be held. The Band will be playing a varied selection of Christmas music, and Carols.
