A HOLMER Green café is hosting a brownie bar at a food festival which is coming to Buckinghamshire over the Easter weekend.

Caramel Square, which is in Pond Approach, will be selling its range of handmade brownies and cakes, including some unusual flavours, at The Love Food Chilterns Easter Festival of Food and Drink.

The independent coffee shop is well known for its brownies and caramel squares and is open 8am-4pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am-3pm on Saturday.

It will be at the food festival in Great Missenden from April 6-9, which aims to showcase food within a 20 mile radius of the village.

Besides Caramel Square there will be other stalls hosting producers such as Fat Man Chilli (based in Rickmansworth) who grow their own chillies and turn them into a fantastic range of hot sauces and chilli jellies and Bradshaws of Buckinghamshire (based in Aylesbury) which makes ice cream and sorbets.

Anne from Auberge Du Chocolat (based in Chesham) will be organising chocolate workshops on Sunday and Monday for adults and children.

Cake designer and author Tracey Mann of Tracey’s Cakes (based in Princes Risborough) will be organising workshops on Saturday and Sunday, including simple cupcake decorating and a masterclass in making chocolate roses. These workshops only have limited availability so it is advisable to book your place in advance to avoid disappointment.

There is lots more on offer at the festival including cookery demonstrations and many more stalls.

The festival takes place in Great Missenden on Friday 6, Saturday 7, Sunday 8 and Monday 9 April from 10am - 5pm and admission charges apply.
