WITH mental exercises Olivia Roberts said she was able to overcome chronic fatigue, full-body pain and migraines. How she did this is explained in her book, which has been re-released by Findhorn Press. She talks to Rebecca Cain about her method, before an appearance in Marlow.

Twenty-six years ago Olivia thought she was dying. She was just 33 when she started experiencing full body pain all the way down through her body.

She said: "I just didn't know what it was. I thought I was dying. I had three really bad months.

"I thought I was suicidal. I thought if I just push myself I would probably kill myself."

So every day Olivia stood up repeatedly said, 'Go away.' After a few days she noticed there was a tiny gap in my pain, which stopped and started again. And after a while the gap gradually got bigger, until it went away.

Olivia also addressed her past. Her mother had died of a brain haemorrhage ten years earlier, she had a bad birth with her first baby and she had lost her sister more than two years earlier to a mystery illness.

She said: "Those three factors brought me down and I became very ill. I was in a way dealing with those as well. Some work was going on there and I was trying to come to terms with that."

Olivia, 60, studied science at open university before becoming a medical rep for a pharmaceutical company, who she worked for 15 years.

She then began to study psychotherapy and following an advanced course in NLP where she realised she could retrace her steps to how she got rid of her migraine.

NLP or Neuro-Linguistic programming studies the factors which account for either success of failure in human performance.

She found volunteers to help her and she broke down the steps to work out her theory, when she realised it worked.

This is where it gets a bit complicated as Olivia started to investigate the electrical system, which is how she invented her ‘Theory of Neurological Syndrome’. Olivia believes that surges of electrical activity are the cause of a wide variety of symptoms, the symptoms simply depend where the electricity discharges.

She said the brain sends small amounts of electricity through the nerves, and for some people higher level of electrical waves are sent along nerves, which causes problems.

In her book she provides exercises and techniques to retains the nerves to stop sending strong pulses of electricity, resulting in solving in symptoms like fibromyalgia, sinusitis, earache, vertigo, chronic indigestion, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome She wrote the book over ten years and it contains more than 50 case studies with more than 100 symptoms which responded to the system. She has been all around the world and she said personally she has helped 300 people but does not know how many the book has helped.

Olivia has been a full time Resolution Magic therapist since 2003.
