An upmarket Marlow health club looks set to get a makeover with plans put forward for a new lounge, restaurant and yoga studio.

The Marlow Club, in Globe Business Park, has revealed plans for renovation project, which, if given the green light by Wycombe District Council, could begin in April next year.

Under the proposals, a new lounge, restaurant and a juice and protein bar will be added for members and non-members alike, while the ladies changing rooms will be extended and refurbished.

The new yoga and pilates studio will also have its own dedicated reception area.

The radical new project comes weeks after the club submitted plans for a £1.4 million car park in Fieldhouse Lane which will provide 85 bays on the top floor exclusively for the club’s members, while the ground floor spaces will be managed by Wycombe District Council and offered to Marlow businesses on a lease basis.

Jon Williams, chief operating officer at The Marlow Club, said: "To ensure the club continues to meet the evolving needs of the membership, we have always placed importance on regular investment but this next phase of development will move the club to a new level of prestige.

"We have been planning major works for some time and it is really exciting to have finally submitted plans.”
