An IT company in Marlow has had its CEO acknowledged as one of the best to work for beating the likes of Nando’s, Nestle, Pepsico and Lego.

Softcat CEO Graeme Watt won a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award ranking third on the list.

The list included several big-name businesses with the CEOs of Microsoft and investment management company BlackRock finishing above Softcat.

Earlier this year Softcat were also recognised by Glassdoor by being named the fifth-best business to work for across the UK.

Graeme Watt said: “2021 has been a challenging and extraordinary year for everyone in all walks of life and I am extremely proud of how our Softcat team have responded and risen to the challenges.

“I am chuffed to be the recipient of this rating but it is really a positive and welcome reflection how our senior leadership team and the entire company pull together in normal times and particularly during the pandemic.

“Our company ethos is about driving the highest levels of employee motivation and engagement which in turn enables us to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

The awards are based on the anonymous and voluntary reviews employees shared on Glassdoor throughout the past year.

He continued: “This is a vote of confidence in the team at Softcat.

“They are a fantastic bunch of people and I love leading them and being part of such a great team.

“Thank you to everyone who took time to provide their feedback”

The company employs over 1000 people and has nine offices in the country with the head office being based in Marlow.

Softcat have also been donating a wing of their offices which are being used as a vaccine centre in Marlow Globe Park.
