WOW introduces Maaike Breijman taking on the role as singer Kate Bush, with whom she shares a birthday, an uncanny resemblance in appearance, performance and vocal style. The 36-year-old will play at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on Monday performing Kate's greatest songs along with dance routines live on-stage with a full troupe of musicians and dancers.

How are you feeling?

I am very excited to be in this show with these people and this big a production.

What reaction do you get from Kate Bush fans?

Good actually. There were some people who have seen Kate live. I spoke to some very enthusiastic people. It is obviously a very Kate Bush show so a lot of different songs from the beginning and throughout her whole career. We have a live band.

Have you played Kate Bush before?

I have done some Kate Bush concerts in Holland a couple of years ago. I have been performing her music for a couple of years now but never quite as big as this show.

What do you like about her?

A lot of different things. I really love her lyrics. They are never just plain love songs. They always have a story. You can relate to that much more. It is a lot of fun making these songs work on stage which is also one of the things I love. The whole performance side of it.

How did you start listening to her music?

I am not from the UK. I started listening to her when I was in my 20s. The more I listen to it the more I loved it. It is not like I grew up with her music.

What else have you done?

All sorts of things from jazz to folk. Which is why I do a lot of Kate's music as it is not just one style or sound.

Are you looking forward to touring the UK?

I have taken a look at all the theatres and they are all amazing. I am like a kid in a candy store. I love everything. All the venues are really nice. I am excited to see so much.

Do you like the costumes?

I love dressing up. I have always very much been in theatre. As a kid I used to dress up a lot.
