THREE Princes Risborough residents were recognised for their hard work in the community on Wednesday night.
Tony Davies received a Citizen Award for his work with the annual Kop Hill Climb.
He revived the motoring event in 2009, which has been a huge success.
Mayor Gary Hall said: "Lately he has been a stalwart of the Kop Hill Climb. It started off with a very good initial successful year and has grown into a major regional event.
"Without this individual it would not have happened, I don't believe. "The money that has flowed out of the event in charitable donations has been astonishing."
Mr Davies said: "Kop Hill is something that I never thought would come to be what it has evolved into over the last four years."
They have given £120,000 to charities in the area.
Cllr Alan Turner gave out two Young Citizens awards.
One to Chris Hobbs who he said is "an absolute stalwart at helping out at all sorts of events around the town."
The other went to Connell Henry who is also a dedicated volunteer and chairman of Risborough Interactors, which is a youth division of the Princes Risborough Rotary Club.
