A TOWN councillor has reassured residents that there is no danger of a day centre in Princes Risborough closing.
The Princes Centre is Clifford Road was taken over by a social enterprise last year from Bucks County Council.
It is currently being leased at a peppercorn rent but after two years the enterprise will be allowed to buy the building.
There have been rumours that not enough money will be raised to buy it.
But Cllr Alan Turner, aid at the annual town meeting on Wednesday night that fundraising is going very well and they have already raised £90,000 towards the £200,000 needed.
Cllr Turner, who is chairman of the directors of the charity which runs the centre, a further £100,000 will need to be raised for repairs.
He said: "We believe we have the time left... but that doesn't mean we can stop fundraising."
