Bourne End’s very own amateur dramatic group are gearing up for their spring production, which premieres later this month.
The Forum Players will present two plays under the heading ‘Light Refreshments’ at the Bourne End Community Centre from May 16 to 18.
Performances start with an award-winning one act play called ‘Come back for light refreshments after the service’ exploring family relationships at an elderly man’s wake.
The second half of the evening features a radio play called ‘A Jolly Sinister Jape’, an innuendo-laden, fast-paced comedy set in the roaring twenties.
The nightly performances run from 8pm, with a free showing for senior citizens on Wednesday.
Forum Players' box office is in Bourne End Library, Wakeman Road, Bourne End SL8 5SX. Tickets are £9 adults and £7 for concessions. Alternatively, call 01628 523291.
