HEALTH chiefs have lodged plans to create a temporary car park accommodating 553 vehicles for users of Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

The health trust is aiming to put the car park, which could be in place for two years, next to the ambulance station on a four hectare site.

It is an interim measure to help the hospital cope while building work on a new permanent multi-storey car park is built, starting in September.

Difficulty in parking has been one of the complaints from south Bucks residents since services have moved from Wycombe Hospital to Stoke Mandeville.
