ROGER Metcalfe stormed to victory in the Hambleden Valley by-election after scooping more than 70 per cent of the votes.
He polled 379 of the 539 votes cast as the Conservatives held on to the Wycombe District Council ward.
UKIP's Brian Mapletoft polled 97 votes and Labour's Julian Grigg received 63. Mr Metcalfe took 70.3 per cent of all the votes cast.
Turnout for the poll was 26.9 per cent and there were three spoilt ballot papers.
The by-election was called following the death of WDC chairman Roger Emmett in June.
