A LETTER has been sent home from a school in Marlow warning parents that a suspected case of Tuberculosis is being investigated.

Buckinghamshire's Health Protection Agency is advising pupils at Great Marlow School in Bobmore Lane to get checked out for the infectious disease.

The letter issued by the school today states: "It is not easy to catch TB and usually requires regular, close prolonged contact with someone who is coughing."

It adds: "TB is a bacterial infection that can be spread when someone with TB of the lungs coughs or sneezes as the bacteria may get into the air in small droplets and other people may then breathe them in."
