A DATE has been set for formal discussions over the future of a former Ministry of Defence site earmarked for up to 300 homes.
South Bucks District Council will consider the draft plan from developer Inland Homes on December 17 after identifying Wilton Park as a major development opportunity in its Core Strategy.
If members agree, the document will go out for public consultation early next year.
The 102-acre plot is being put up for sale after MoD officials decided to close the Defence School of Languages on the park.
Inland Homes, which has been working with SBDC to produce the draft planning document, has bidding competition for Wilton Park from Beaconsfield-based building company Jansons.
Community groups and organisations put suggestions forward to Inland about what they would like to see on the site during the company’s own consultation in March.
